The main purpose of this study is to get the empirical answer of the question of the study that is whether or not the English summative test for the tenth grade students of SMKN 50 Jakarta in the first semester of the 2014/2015 academic year realiable.
In this research, the writer used a survey method using correlation technique. The population respondents of this research were the tenth grade students of SMKN 50 Jakarta. The writer took 34 students of one class for the sample of the research. The data which the writer got from the research were analyzed using the Pearson’s Product Moment Analysis formula.
Based on the data analysis, it was found the observed coefficient (ro) was 0.98 and the value of the table of r-distribution, (rt) was 0.339. Because the ro > rt Ho was rejected and Hi was accepted. It gives empirical evidence to the writer to make a conclusion that the English summative test for the tenth grade students of SMKN 50 Jakarta in the first semester of the 2014/2015 Academic Year is RELIABLE.
